    LED's in dash lights

I was just wondering, has anyone replaced the lights (window switches/ac controls ect) with leds, or if this is even possible?
It seems like the switches are whole units but I remember seeing a thread with one taken apart and containing a small bulb, Possible to change this for an Led?
My switches and instruments seem to give off alot of heat so aswel as the asthetic look of the leds they could possibly help with the heat.

I don´t see how it could not be possible. LEDs are no bigger than any bulb and with the appropiate resistor can be connected to 12V or other voltages. I´m assuming that by instruments you´re not referring to the gauges cluster. That should be more complicated, since the bulbs in there get the power from the backboard circuit if I´m not mistaken. I guess you could still solder them there, but it should be harder than, for ex. replacing your window switches with LEDs.

I'm sure it can be done if you have the knowledge on how to wire them and the time.
