My car w/after-market driving lights, some opinions? (edit)

Particularly the 87iS front spoiler with after-market lighting in the fog light housing area... I recently got some Piaa driving lights and they are pretty nice, I do like them a lot, but everytime I look at my car it just doesnt look right. Maybe because Im so used to looking at it with my old fogs... And I really do like the look of the stock fogs. The Piaa's are mounted good in the spoiler, but the area that mounted the old fogs is still visible if you look good enough.

A buddy of mine suggested abs(?) plastic behind the lights mounted to the spoiler. I dont have any pics of my car yet with these lights, but I can get some later today, or tomorrow.

quicky search on google for my lights, found this url:

Anyways, Im looking for pics of other e30's, particularly like my own with some type of after-market fogs mounted. AND any suggestions on what I can do to clean up the appearance.

The stock foglights look fine. Those stupid round PIAA ones look ricey as all get-out, especially on an E30. I've seen them, it looks bad.

Looking for some more opinions on these... I will most likely run them for a while because of the money/ time I spent putting them on. I myself am still not sure about them, although I do like their light output and the driving style beam better than the origonals.

Anyways, like I said, im just looking for more opinions on them, good or bad.
                Thanks.

The first picture is way too dark to make anything out.

The second one is bright - but so bright, you can't see the lights themselves --- just the light they produce.

I'd like to see some brighter and closer pics, so we could see how it look in the spoiler, but first impression I have is pretty bad. Light output is still yellow, and that spoiler fitment looks wrong. I really don't think you can make those look right in that spoiler. Go after market bumper/spoiler if you want to use those fogs. If you want to keep your stock front bumper spoiler, I recommend using the OEM fogs with upgraded bulbs. Then get some ellips and upgraded bulbs as well.

He has ellips you genius, which is more than i can say for you. ;) I thought about using 5 series ellips in the fog light, and molding panels in to get rid of the pods that the normal fogs go into. Then just have the ellips "peek out" from a hole in that panel.

I just never got around to it... and prolly won't, lol.

You're opinions don't matter to someone of my caliber... :finger: P.S. I didn't really look at his headlights in the pic, and when I was writing a response, I was trying to remember if he had ellips or not, since it was pre-e30 facelift, I took a gamble thinking he had the sealed beams, which are definitely much superior and all the cool people have them..

But i am the only one in the world with US smoked ellipsoids with xenon and angel eyes.

Better getthat rear apron on 'fore you start talkin.

This weekend Ill be putting in my new deck, and actually have some time w/my car while it is light out, and not in the "cave" parking garage. I will snap some pics and put them up. As far as the lights color... It must just be the pics, because they are the extremely bright white, like the sylvania silverstar bulbs I have in the ellips.
