Foglights staying on? WTF?

Went out to the garage this afternoon to get in the wip, and drive to work. My battery was dead. :( I got it jumped and made it to work and while i was walking away from my car noticed the fog lights were on. Ignition was off, keys were out. Headlight switch was in the off position. Fog lamp switch was in the on position. I manipulated the switches a few times and put all switches in the off position. Fog lights remained on.

WTF?!?!?!

I unplugged the wires from the fog lights to ensure a fresh (ish) battery upon my return.

What could cause this to happen? Might this be a fuse issue? Maybe a relay issue? I don't know where to start on this one folks. Please discuss and speculate, as any guidance on where to start searching would be helpful.

probably a stuck relay, or else perhaps a voltage leak that is causing the relay to actuate itself constantly. Try pulling/replacing the fog relay and see what happens.
