i am smoking my US elips and adding a 55 watt 6K HID kit to the lows and am about to order a 35watt 2K kit for the fogs. i am also thinking about ordering a kit for the highs.
my questions are:
has anyone done this?
i know that there will be a delay when i switch from hi to low as the balasts take a sec to get going.
if you have done it, what bulb did you run for the highs. i have H-4s and yellow 123 lights now. i am thinking it might be nice to have the yellow light comming from the highs again, but brighter. if not i will go with a 4K or 5K bulb in plain old white.
will the stock wiring handle having 4 X 55 watt HIDs on them with out issue?
should i go with the 35 watt kit as i really don't need the high beams after i do the HID kits in the low beams?
the kits are so dam cheap, i don't see a reason to get the regular bulbs (even in a high output )
the highs wont be on that much, but there are a lot of dark roads around my house and i plan on doing a LONG road trip to Idahoooo next summer so any extra vision in unfamiliar roads would be a plus!
