Removing ellipsoids from buckets?

So I'm trying to remove my new ellipsoids from their buckets so as to replace the lenses (and smoke them) and I'm having a hell of a time. How can I do this without completely destroying the little black cups? They don't want to budge.

Get pliers to twist the parts that fit into the bucket. They go one way, although they can be turned the other way and be damaged. They will get marked up and some will be harder than others, but that is how. Once you do that, they just fit through the little rectangular holes in the bucket. I will try to get pictures tomorrow.
