Right front turn signal does not blink when lights are on?!?

Hey guys, so the right front turn signal bulb (replaced it, cross checked it with left side, sons car, buddy's car) glows with lights on park, with the headlights on no problem. The turn signal works as long as the head lights are not on. If the headlights are on it just glows without blinking ?!?!?!?

And the the right glows brighter than the left side, same bulbs from the same package.

Anything you guys can think of ??? I'm trying everything but loosing my mind over something so simple yet frustrating.

    Thanks

Hit the hazards with the lights off, see if the reverse is true. I bet the right side turn signal is dimmer than the left.

    The wires are backwards.

Hey Dave, long time don't hear from you.

I wish it was it. I tried what you said an the lights behave the same way. I found out that the light bulb is barely blinking but the main filament stays on, you can only see this if you are staring at the bare bulb no cover.

I had the care all apart doing a stereo install this summer, I'm thinking I need to retrace my steps by cutting cables from the stereo or something the cables to the lights where not touched and nothing has changed on the lights. It's going to drive me to drink. Funny enough the State of NJ passed the car anyhow!!! Just luck I guess.

Have those turn signals ever worked properly? Jeez.

So let me double check I have this right. With the hazards on, lights off, the main filament is blinking and the second filament is off. With the hazards on, lights on, the main filament is solid, and the second filament is blinking?

Oh, and wait till you see the e30 now... (well if I ever get it done that is. ;) )

4 engines, two chassis, two suspensions, and three sets of wheels later..... I think I might be on to something!
