    Rear Fog Question

I am about to embark on this mod, I have a rear fog switch and know how to modify the bulb carrier. The only thing i am uncertain on is if i should use a relay. I do not know why i should because i was going to run a fused power from somewhere to the switch then to the rear fog then common ground.

    Any and all input please

    thanks

    Hey,
    I think I can help.
First - what tail light are you modifying, early or late?
Second - two bulbs (some say 'use one on the driver side' when adding a rear fog) are about 50 watts, close to 4 amps, so a relay is not strictly needed. Can't hurt, but not vital.
Third - why not consider adding a tail AND a fog light? Very possible, I do this all the time. Good visibility to the driver behind you, foggy or not. I have figured out a way to do this for either early or late version lights, so I can help. If you are interested, let me know what year car, date of mfr thru 9/87 or later.

      Zeke-
Are you interested in help on this project? I think it's a great idea, I do this kind of thing, plus lots more, for E30 early AND late tails, it REALLY helps the guy behind you see your car and know your intentions. Avoid rear end collisions is the purpose.

Ummmmm, he has wayyyyyy more posts than you bro. I think he has the search feature figured out. These forums are supposed to be for people to help fellow e30 enthusiasts, not dog them. One of the reasons I spend hours, if not days scouring the internet for info for my car is because of responses to my questions from people like you that all you can say is SEARCH!
