How to remove inner contacts from female headlight plug?

the plug that goes onto the back of the headlight, the part where the wires attach to it, i need those metal pieces out

get a pick or a very small screwdriver, and push the metal tab on the wire connector down, pull the wire out of the plug. it's a fidgety job.

or, get a lisle wire terminal tool.
