Should I convert to Bi-Xenon lights?

I am currently running a set of e46 projectors with a DDM 35w HID kit.

Now the e46 projectors are a direct fit onto my mom's car and I am going to be moving them over to her car.

I would then like to upgrade my lights to a bi xenon setup.

I have a few questions though,

Can you wire it so that when you flash the highs it does it with the halogens?

If I were to use 55w ballasts this time, do I need to run new wires?

Also does anyone have any recommendations for BiXenon projectors? Only requirements are that they need to be D2S and not too pricey.

You'll have to do some hacking in order to get them to fit. The solenoid for the cutoff shield adds a fair bit of girth.

        My mom's volvo S40.

Also I've been doing some research and it looks like the e55 bixenons would be pretty easy to make fit.

FX35 bi-xenons are a pretty popular choice for retrofits

Also, when upgrading to 55W you might want to run a wiring harness just to protect stuff at startup when it draws the most power. (I believe)

And I have no idea about the highs flashing...seems to me that's the way it should be wired anyways? What happens when you flash your highs right now?

I was thinking that I might wire it so the original halogen highs are used to flash, but when they stay on it uses the HID. I'm leaning away from that now and just think I'm going to use the bixenon for everything.

This is how I have mine setup. I'm using FX35 projectors.
