Mounted Ellipsoids....high beams don't work?

I installed some ellipsoids and DDM HIDs. I connected the plugs for the high and low beams EXACTLY the same. I replaced the fuses for both and now, for some reason, neither high beam works, but my lows work perfect? I am going to recheck the wiring, but I can't imagine that I screwed up the wiring for both highs, but got both lows correct when they were all done in the same fashion. If I recall, the highs have two purple/white wires and one brown ground wire. The new connectors had only one purple/white wire and one brown ground wire.....am I missing something that I didn't know?

I even bought new bulbs but that didn't work.

There should only be one hot wire and one ground wire for the highs. You didnt hook up the hot high beam wire off of the outer headlight into the inner high beam did you?

NO, I did not connect both white/purple wires together at all. I simpled crimped the correct wire from the plugs to the corresponding wires and lef the other white/purple wire alone.

I'll recheck the connections tomorrow. I did tape the loose white/purple wire on top of the connections (with electrical tape in between).....I don't think that should cause a problem....does it matter which white/purple wire of the two?

also check your high relay; and check to see if you caused a serge in your high beam fuse to blow.

High beam fuse was fine, not sure about the high relay.....where/which one is it?

So fixed the issue....

Apparently, it DOES matter which of the two wires you use. As you know, you have two purple/white wires coming from the car and only one purple/white wire with the ellipsoid plug. I guess you just have to guess to see which one works.....so all is well now!
