So about every other time I start my car, fuse #6 is blown and I have no brake lights... obviously not a very safe predicament. Any ideas as to why it keeps blowing?

Less brake more gas? -
Would this be the vert or the iX?
Vert- Check for a waterlogged check control. Unplug it and see if the fuse still pops. If it doesn't, you need the little plastic nubs that center the top in the latch and a check control.
iX- Maplight mirror? Unplug it and see if the fuse still pops. If it doesn't, Check for frayed wires or improperly installed bulbs.-Dave
