Fuse #6 (brake lights) keeps blowing

So about every other time I start my car, fuse #6 is blown and I have no brake lights... obviously not a very safe predicament. Any ideas as to why it keeps blowing?

Would this be the vert or the iX?

Vert- Check for a waterlogged check control. Unplug it and see if the fuse still pops. If it doesn't, you need the little plastic nubs that center the top in the latch and a check control.

iX- Maplight mirror? Unplug it and see if the fuse still pops. If it doesn't, Check for frayed wires or improperly installed bulbs.

This, and if you want to keep it real dump just put in a higher amp fuse.

Did you ever figure this out? Because I'm getting really frustrated with the same problem in my 318is. I can't drive much because It's too risky to get a ticket or hit

Yeah I just threw in a 15amp fuse instead of a 7.5 and it stopped
