Headlights stay on.then off..then on.

I just recently bought a 1986 325es and just recently started having an issue with the headlights.

Here is a scenario. I drive the car into the driveway with lights on. Press the nob in to turn them off and they turn off. Now I turn the car off and remove my key and the headlights turn back on..

After a little they will turn off. The turn back on, and so on.

Last night I had to disconnect my battery, and I also had to do the same at school.

Another issue I am experiencing is the high beams flicker on an off/stay on when going over a bump.

I did some research and read it might be some kind of chip, the switches itself, or a stuck relay.

What are your guy's opinion on the matter?

Is the flickering high beams the same thing?
