new radio now gauge lights/ console lights dont work ..is NOT fuse

i serched this but couldnt hind anything

ok i just put ina new head unit and now my gauge lights dont wrok and my heater lights and the all the buttons ont he center consloe do not work however my over head lights work o and my right hand side tail light is out is this from the same thing or just a coincedence, how ever i already checked the fuses and replaced number 21 but i put a ten amp fuse in couldnt find a 7.5. i have a 1985 318i and really need to so see my gauges at night lol i drive a lot at night so any help would be good

It's your wiring. Plain and simple! Seen this a few times, happene when I did my euro clock and realized the head unit was wired wrong.

so what do i do its not the first time i changed head units and the one in there was after market and i just fallowed the wiring they had

ok so your saying i wired it wrong? i dont know how when i bought the car they had already put an aftermarket head unit in so when i switched then out i just copyed what colors go to what so are you sure that is it??

i fixed it im a huge freaking noob i replaced almost every fuse and it was the about the only one i didnt # 23 i know i know god i suck
