Another weird electrical problem

This is something I can't figure out. My cars rear sidemarkers and license plate lights and the cluster's backlights are all coming on without me turning on the headlights. They come on as soon as you turn the key to position 1. What is weird is that the front sidemarkers and parking lights up front don't come on until I pull out the headlight switch. I swapped in another headlight switch from another car and the result is the same. Is there a relay for those rear lights that has gone bad? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Bump, I'm having very similar problems.
My car even dies when you try to turn on the lights.
Wanted to bump a thread before starting my own.
