The standard sealed beams in my 87 are so sad. Turning them on is like turning on a cheap useless flashlight. The high beams are pretty bad too.
US Ellipsoids are definitely better, but I keep reading that the Euro ellipsoids are even better and that the Hella H4 (which are drop-ins for the sealed beam cars) are as good as the Euro ellipsoids, if not slightly better.Visit the 3 series heritage site (work in progress):
