Fuse 23 = Interior lighting plus more!

Note: not sure which topic to start this in, but its got to do with lighting so...

Tonight comming home from work I hit a bump in the highway pretty hard...and poof, out go my instrument cluster lights, and my tail light/licence plate light indicators illuminated on my check panel.

So I pull apart the underside spagetti mess of wires unde there and i find nothing wrong, so i check the bently for the fuse numbering and lo and be hold, fuse 23 is those exact lights, so i check the fuse and what'dya know, its blown.

So I replace it and go on my merry way, till I hit another bump, not quite as hard, and poof, same goddamm lights out, and the new fuse is blown. Its a 7.5 amp fuse....

Why the hell when I hit bumps does this fuse continue to blow out on me?!

There's a loose connection and/or bare wire moving around and getting grounded when you hit those bumps. That may take quite a while to find, good luck.

That is the exact same thing that happened to me !!! I dont remember hitting a bump but i turned on my car and all of a sudden the instrument cluster/back taillight/front blinker are all out. ill have to check that fuse.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

I would wanna know why there is a spaghetti mess of wires under my dash!

Mine are nice and tidy, BMW style...plus,I have a big alarm AND a bunch of stereo shit.
