    yellow, french lights?

Ok so i dont even have an E30 yet but Im doing research and waiting for the cash in hand so I can buy one. Sorry if this is a noob question, I searched and really didnt see what im asking. What is the benefits of the yellow, or what i have found to be called french lights? Are they just for looks? History behind them? thanks.

yellow is a easier color to see in the fog rather than white light.

As far as history I actually believe that at one point France required yellow head lights. I've seen a couple French movies with bmws during the eighties and they had "frenched" highs and lows.

At night the yellow shows more contrast. You dont have to buy frenchies use yellow lamin-x.

My "frence" lights are from a Benz @ a yard. You can get them for fairly cheap.

Added bonus is during snow storms the yellow doesn't dazzle your eyes on the falling snow like white will do.
