Would US High Beam Insert (US Ellipsoid type) fit on EURO Ellipsoid bracket ??

Would US High Beam Insert (US Ellipsoid type) fit on EURO Ellipsoid bracket

hi, all
I had a pair of euro ellipsoid headlights installed on my e30
but the passenge side high bean lense was crack really bad.
I am thinking to replace either the lense or the whole highbeam insert.
My question is :
if i get a US type high beam insert, would it directly swap to my euro headlight housing without modification?
would it be a difference between US highbeam insert and EURO high beam one?
I understood that US 9005/9006 bulbs instead of EURO H1 bulbs?
is that only difference on high beam?
would somebody enlight me Please ?
