Reason why I dont like them wired to the markers is having to turn them on and off...

Then get out your test light and find a switched 12v wire so it's only powered when ign is on.

...I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Well to start off you need this for your high beams.

Hopefully this will help to make the "Halo" in the high beams more pronounced. If it does, this will look a lot better.
