    Reverse lights not coming on

    Hey,

I checked Fuse #10 for possible blown fuse and know it's good because it shares voltage with blower fan. I can't seem to get my reverse lights to come on. I threw the car in reverse - I swapped bulbs but they still don't work.

    anyone have input on this?

    thank you - Ernie

I have the same issue with my 91' 318is.

I narrowed the issue down to the reverse light switch that's mounted on the transmission. I haven't changed it yet as the part is backordered and it will be another 2 weeks before it gets here.

issues with the switch or wiring are common. Quick way to check would be to pull your shift boot, disconnect the connector for the reverse light(two pin connector coming through the boot), and jump it.
I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.
