When I first got my car, only one of the foglights worked, so I figured the other was simply burnt out. After replacing both of the bulbs, I tested them to see if they worked by starting the car in the driveway and turning them on. And they worked.
That night I went for a drive and decided to try out my new foglights. So, I hit the switch: the entire car immediatly dies. The engine conks out, and I'm coasting at 60 mph in complete darkness. I managed to pull off to the side of the road, and luckily, the car started right back up again.
However, now the foglight that originally did not work does, and the original working one does not. Also, after inspecting the old bulbs I've come to the conlusion that neither needed replacement since the filliments were still good (stupid me).
I'm no good with automotive electronics, and would give many thanks to whoever can help me correct my problem.
