    Weird low beam issue

    Hey guys,

my driver side low beam has been acting up. Whenever I turn on the low beam, the light output is VERY weak (almost like a city light). On top of that, the driver side high beam is also on and is also very weak??

I have no idea where to start. Also if I try and disconnect the high beam connection and turn on the low beams, the driver side won't work. The high beam has to be plugged in to get any type of light output

    Any ideas??

Bad ground on the drivers side low beam. Most likely the brown wire is broken at the connector.

Interesting, I'll check that out. Do you recommend replacing the connector?

Depends on what you find, the plastic housing is almost undoubtedly fine, but you could crimp a new terminal on and install it if the break happens to be right at the back of the old terminal's crimp.

After further inspection, there was definitely a break at
The ground right before the plastic housing. Previous owner put a butt connector.

I'm probably gonna just replace the entire housing/wires just to be sure.

          Thanks for the help, Dave!

P.s. high beam is also off now...

(driver side high beam is also unplugged)

I would venture you still don't have a ground.

Since the smilies are single filament, there will be no weirdness from the highbeam, it will operate normally and the low beam simply won't work.
