    only half of the lights coming on

    buddy of mines 325i is having electrical issues, switch is good,

    all four headlights work just fine, but the parking lights and rear light on the drivers side are all off, turnsignals are functioning properly and nothing else is wrong. its just the parking, side marker and rear light that are out.

    any common grounds? we dont have a clue were to start

    I'd start with fuse 22.

              Gotta love the simple stuff. ;)

              Good idea though, german cars wire them up separate so when one blows you still have some sort of light back there. Us 'mericans wired the taillights to the dash lights so hopefully you would be assed to investigate why your gauges don't light up anymore.
