Colored city lights?

I know someone had pink/purple city lights on their E30. I'm wondering where you'd get colored bulbs? I think a green would look really cool, espcially around Halloween.

yeah you should be able to get them in just about any color.

if thats your thing you can usually find colored bulbs in the rice-aisle at autozone or pepboys, or failing that even wal-mart might have 'em.

just for the hell of it i tossed in some red ones and took a pic ... but i sure dont drive around with 'em like that

mine were supposed to be blue but ended up looking green I just ended up putting the regular bulbs back in

IT ends up looking retarded most of the time because the light output is lower and the colors never quite end up being as good. As a goof for a meet Kyle and I went and got red ones for mine and they ended up just being pink dots.

uhh. Thats what makes them "super white" since the regular halgoen/filament style bulb is of a yellowish tint, they have to counteract that with the blue, in effect giving them a more closer to white color. Some are more blue than others, of course. PIAA shit is usually OK since a lot of their shit is legal and DOT approved and cant be terribly blue. In my experience.

I actually found some cheap bulbs - same style as the Phillips Silvervision, where there is a coat of silver paint. It does the job.

Shit I was trying to think of the name of those too! Yeah those are the other people I knoew were D.O.T. approved as well.

They do. I have one of them in the box still. Wedge bulbs in yellow. Yes they do. The only time youd ever need to walk into a "Custom Images" rice store.
