My inner brake lights dun diddly don't work. The outer ones come on, so I wont get pulled over but having to hit 'CHECK' every time I start my car and hit the brakes is bothersome.

There's no inner and outer brake lights.
Each tail light has ONE brake light bulb and of course there's the center 3rd brake light in the window.Comment

Brake lights - not enough?
You want the upgrade I make, which gives you FIVE brake lights on the back -- two each side, one in the middle. Also gives you FOUR tail lights - two each side.
TJ- If you want both an inner and an outer brake light on your car, as well as inner and outer TAIL lights, no problem. I'll send you a set (Just the inside part, the grey plastic that holds the bulbs) to exchange with yours, plug and play. See this post for details and pics:

Older BMWs didn't come with two tail and two brake light bulbs on each side until E36 three series, and those only have two tails, single brake, per side.
Happy to help anyone here, especially convertible owners, with the same upgrades, double tails and double brakes on each side. See here for details and pics on convertible / old style lights:
