I'm working on a sealed beam to euro projector conversion and it looks like its not possible to reuse the shield/cover thing behind the lights. It seems the projectors are deeper than the old sealed beam units causing them to interfere with the shield.
I haven't seen any references to this here or in any of the conversion DIY's I skimmed. I believe it is part number 16 in the diagram below. So my question is, are there different types of shields/covers for different headlight types? If so, what the hell is this part called so I can track them down?
It's possible I'm just not being forceful enough when installing the lights but I figured I would check with the experts on here first.
