I voted non-smileys because that is what I prefer. More people have the smileys, so I like the look of the non becasue it is different. If you are looking for what most people find desirable then I'm gonna bet on smileys.

thing is, non-smileys look exactly like the U.S. BS ellips. Most people want the smileys cuz its noticeable, since most E30 owners arent going to spend the cash to get euro lights and not let you know that they had to save for months to get them, lol.

I got smileys because they only maked the smokes in them. Besides, you can really make it out on the black lights anyway.

The smiles dont seem to do a damn thing on my car so I couldnt care either way.
          Im now E30less.

I went for non-smiley's. I think that the smileys look too cluttered, I like just the look of the ellipsoids themselves. My ellips are just standard ones, but pretty cool even at that, because my car is an 86 325eS, which didn't come with them, they were retrofitted. I'd like to get smoked ones eventaully.

If sealed beams had a big black dot in the middle.

I don't know about you guys, but (although it's common with the owners on this board) I have not seen another E30 EVER in my area with the euro smiles.

They have just become passe' on this board because many on here have them...but what are we, 15-20 people that have them countrywide...30 tops!

Both euro versions are rare, they just seem commonplace around here..

I always figured there was something special about them because of a different light output or whatever, but as long as there is no difference there I would prefer to have them un clutered with sthe smilie part.
