Euro e24 ellipoids, are they different?

Are Euro e24 ellipsoids different than e30 ellipsoids? Meaning, will e24 ellipsoids fit in an e30? I'm pretty sure the housing is different, but not 100% sure. And I would imagine the lights themselves would mount in any housing... e24/e28/e30.
