    ellipsoid bulb siezed or something?

Hey I'm trying to take a bulb out of my e30 to check if it's burnt out or if I have some sort of electrical issue going on. Only problem is that it's more or less siezed into the headlight assembly. They're US ellipsoid Hella's off of an 88.. I'm supposed to just grab the back of the bulb where the wire connects and twist it 1/4 turn CCW right? Or am I doing this wrong?

try twisting it the other direction, the bases of the bulbs are plastic so there shouldn't be rust, they are probably just old and crusty and haven't been moved in awhile

Yeah it was just really siezed, I wasn't willing to give it enough force to get it out because I'm paranoid about breaking my own stuff, so I sucked it up and had the old man rip it off.
