Euro Ellips Durability?

My friend is telling me the hella euro ellipsoids do not last very long before breaking and have poor light output on the lowbeams. He says one good roadtrip and they'll probably break. How long have you had your ellips? I can pick up a set of them with euro grills for 175. Thanks

uh huh... Maybe he bought a junk ass used set.

Buy a brand new set of Hella or Bosch euro ellips and slap some LaminX on them. Short of rear ending someone they will not ever break.

What's tougher than Bosch euro ellips?
--they've got metal reflector housings, tuv-glass lenses.

Just use good bulbs, AIM THE LIGHTS and you'll be all set...

I got one from Parkerbink, who had a smashed ellipsoid set. The lense was salvaged.
