    HID Problems

So I just swapped in new left headlights after my car got into an accident. Before the swap, both low and high beams were working (they were just misaligned), but now after the swap, the low beam went out.
The weird thing is that when I turn on the lights, the left low beam HID will flicker, then turn off.

My question is, do I need a new bulb? or do I have a lose connection somewhere? Every time I turn the lights on it does the exact same thing. Flickers then turns off.

An important thing to note is that I was driving without left headlights for a couple days with the HID bulb not really protected, so it may have broken by hitting something in the engine bay. My guess is I need a new bulb, but I wanted to double check to see if anyone else has any ideas before I go buy one.

the easiest way that i have found to diagnose hid problems is simply to swap parts from side to side or with known good parts. i bought ddm hids years ago and had issues with a bulb or a ballast, i cant remember. but they were dirt cheap so i just bought another set, fixed the problem and havent had to touch them since. if i ever have another problem ill just use the spare parts i have.
