Why don't license plate lights work / how do you short high and low beams

    So I got two questions:

What are usual causes for license plate lights to not work other than it being a fuse problem or a bulb problem as those have all been replaced?

Second, how do you short the high and low beams together? I just recently installed HID's and I swear I've seen a write up on how to do this before but I cannot remember where or what I used as search terms.

    Thanks!

You have to search for "relay mod". However if you follow the typical "pin 30 to pin 30" mod your fogs will stay on when you switch to high beam. That may be a problem in your state, it is in mine.

To have all 4 headlights and fogs on (if fog switch is dedpressed):
Install a jumper wire from pin 30 on K3 to pin 30 on K4 (just put the wire ends into the sockets)

To have all 4 headlights on and fogs off (even if fog switch is dedpressed):
Install a jumper wire from pin 30 on K3 to pin 30 on K4 as above
Bend back pin 87a on relay K3 so it doesn't go into its socket
Bend back pin 85 on relay K8 so it doesn't go into its socket
Solder a jumper wire from pin 87a on relay K3 to pin 85 on relay K8
