I just ordered this kit from Amazon, with hopes that it will help with my severely hazed & pitted fog lights on both my E30 & E46 M3.
Initially I was just going to buy new OEM replacements, but forking out $600+ for two sets of fogs for both cars is ridiculous. I do a lot of highway driving, so it has done a # on my fogs.
After reading reviews of this product, I know it prob won't help with the pitting, but I'm not looking for a perfect restoration on these. I'm more concerned with the hazing....so I'm going in with the mentality that 'anything will look better than how it is now'.
I'll report back once I begin the process, hopefully it will help some of you guys if you're looking to restore your glass lenses....as opposed to buying new or replacing them w/ plastic ones. I'm hoping that some of my detailing background (wetsanding, polishing) can be applied to this. I think after my leather restoration project (http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=286673) from over the summer, i've grown enough sack to try this. lol
btw, has anyone else attempted this before? I know a couple members here have restored glass/fogs before.....but I was curious to see if any novice DIY'rs have tried something similar?
