    Cleaning projectors.

Any of you clean the inside of the projector housing, specifically the part where you insert the bulb? If so, how'd you do it and with what? I was thinking of just sticking something in there and twirling it around, dunno what yet though.

I was curious the same thing. I really want there to be as few imperfections as possible. now mine are in really goos shape but I am sure a thorough cleaning would be beneficial.

      Umm I have a question...

HOW did you get the inside of the projector dirty??!!

As long as there's a bulb there, and the glass is in one piece, nothing ever gets IN there.

It's 15 yrs old, I'm sure there's some dirt in there :). Taking it apart, does that mean removing the glass?

You dont have to. If you take the bulb housing off of the lense you can get to the focused portion of the ellipsoid glass and wipe it off with alkihol.

Ok I'll check it out, thanks guys. I guess I have to remove the front grill and all to take it out? or can it be accessed from inside the engine bay.

It CAN be removed with the light still on the car, but the screw on the bottom of the housing will be a bitch to get to. Just pop the hood, unplug the harness, and take out the 3 screws joining the back half of the light to the front half.

                Good luck.
