Smiley conversion, power source for extra low beam bulb?

I'm installing a set of smileys in my E30. My E30 had some DEPO shitty HIDs. Wiring for high and low beams main bulbs was smooth and easy.

However, the euro smileys have an additional small bulb on the upper side of low beams. These bulbs have their own pigtail, where do these get the power from?

You want to use tap-ins to get power from the front side markers. If you use tap-ins, you won't have to cut any wires on the car's wire harness. You'll need 4 of them. I used blue ones, but the bigger red ones will work too. Your city lights will come on when you pull the headlight knob out to position 1 (for parking lights). The city lights will stay on whether the low beams or high beams are on.

On each side of the car:
    1) Remove the headlights assembly
    2) Pop the side marker lens out so it is hanging loose
    3) Pull/push the side marker wires in/out, so you can see which wires go to the side markers from inside the fender (right behind the where the headlight assembly was mounted)
    4) Make a 2" cut in the plastic casing that covers the + & - wires for the side markers
    5) Use the tap-ins to attach the city light wires to the side marker lights. Brown to Brown and the non-Brown to the Non-Brown.
    Done.
