I'm trying to power something that's 12V DC. I've got a switch with 3 poles, supply, load, and groud. I've got the supply, coming from the ignition, load going to the unit I'm trying to power, and ground the chassis. The thing I'm trying to power works fine if I just tap into the ignition ground and power, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Switch POWER: ignition-> supply (Hoped to put a fuse in between)
Switch GROUND: chassis -> ground
Switch LOAD: switch -> chassis
:help
Does it matter if I twist the unit's ground and the switch's ground wires together?
