    Overhauling Bosch Euro Smiley Headlamps

    Hey y'all,

I am restoring a set of Bosch Euro Smiley Headlamps for my E30.

7 out of the 8 adjusting rods are either broken, rusted/seized, or bent.

Also, the rubber bushing ends are missing/broken.
The bushing ends I found to be like $1 at the local BMW dealers.

However, the adjusting rods I have found to be rather expensive (~$10/each).
Meaning it would be over $90 to overhaul everything.

Has anyone refurbished these, or know where to find cheap replacements?

    Thanks!

You can "refurbish" them by threading them out, cleaning with a wire wheel, reinstalling with grease or copper lubricant, and forgetting about them for pretty much forever. You can also find pretty cheap replacements on US-spec ellipsoids at junkyards.

      What he said^^^

I would sell them as is and put that money towards a set of new Depos myself.
