    Hella H1/H4 conversion problem

Ok, the conversion could not have been easier. I plugged the 3 prong plugs into the low beams and connected brown to brown and white to white on the high beams.

The low beams work fine. When I switch on the high beams, the high beams do not come on and the passenger side low beam goes out. With the high beams on, only the driver's side low beam is on.

Fuses are not blown. Any ideas?

Did all of the old lights work? New bulbs I assume?

Yes, all the old lights(sealed beams) worked on both low beam and high beam.

Here is an update but I am now stumped for a different reason: A fuse was blown but it looked like it was not blown. I checked them with a multi tester and found that one of the high beam fuses was blown. I replaced both with 10 amp fuses. Now, both low beams still work OK. With high beams switched one, both low beams stay on and now the passenger side high beam lights up. The driver's side high beam does not light up.

I am wondering if the driver's side high beam bulb tanked when the fuse blew. I will check that tomorrow.
