Brake check light remains on -- even though brake lights work properly, all bulbs

    Hi r3v,

So I know that the brake check light remains on until you depress the brake lever, but until recently, the check light remains on.

There are some days where it will turn off, but will likely come back on during the same driving session.

I've checked and inspected all of the bulbs, and they are working correctly, even when the check light turns on.

How can I fix this? I get paranoid when it comes back on during a drive -- thinking that they are actually out!

    Anything helps.

    Best,
    JP

Clean the terminals at the switch above the brake pedal, and the contacts on the signal box attached to the premium amp assembly, if you have one, in the trunk.

I had the same issue and the problem was solved after I cleaned the terminals.
    Suspension tips here...

      thanks for the tip here.

Any tips on cleaning the terminals? materials, solvents, etc

      Maybe a scotch pad?

I usually just use 600 grit wet/dry paper, but anything abrasive will work.
