    help. ellipsoid rebuilding

    Hi all.

I need some tips on reassembling my ellipsoids. I've already broke a $3 black bushing.

Do you put the black bushings on the adjuster screw first or in their mounting spot first?

I put them in their mounting spot first and then had to force them onto the screw. Of course the amount of force needed to get the screw into the bushing broke the bushing. so 2 out 3.

There must be an easier way.

    Any tips?

    thanks

were they new or used bushings? I think they are press fit, but I am not 100% sure. Some one will chime in with more details

they are brand new bushing and adjusters. yes they are press fit but for how hard I had to press them it literally pushed the bushing through its mounting hole which ultimately broke the bushing.

This is the more appropriate place for the question, the sub forum for "lighting in appearance. I have made the same error
