    Hella High Beam Assembly Advice

Hey guys just picked up my first e30, I've got an e90 that I'm very familiar with and looking forward to getting familiar with this generation as well!

I have no idea why but the previous owner had removed the driver side high beam light assembly and replaced it with an air intake inlet. So now I am looking for some advice as to what I can do.

The car has the hella glass smilies. Does any one know where I can just find a high beam? Or if I can't find a hella I'd be willing to buy 2 of something else and fit them in both sides for the time being. I am planning a restore at some point and will switch the lights out but for now all I really want to do is get a light in there that matches the passenger side and plug that hole to keep the engine bay cleaner.

I included a couple pics, any advice would be appreciated!

the high beam was taken out to allow fresh air to flow into the intake, this is done for performance reasons.

if you want the light to match the rest you will need to buy hella smoked smilies. otherwise, buy whatever is convenient (U.S or Euro regular high beams). new will be expensive, so its probably best to search the r3v classifieds or your local craigslist.

Thanks blazin, I kind of figured that's why someone would take it out in the first place but still can't believe it on a stock 318is! I mean yeah if you had a turbo different story but stock.... Anyway thanks for the help!
