Euro Ellipsoid ?

I'm looking into getting a set of smoked euro ellips.

I was wondering. I heard this before and was wondering if there was any validity to it.

Are the ellipsoids with the black backs any better than the ones with the grey backs?

I've examined both blackbacks and greybacks in-depth, and here are my conclusions:

1. They both have a good light pattern, I could see no difference.
2. Grey-backs tend to make the "smiley" portion shine more, while black-backs only seem to shine light from the ellipsoid portion.
