My high beams are useless.

Well, got my HID's installed today! woot woot!
Wasn't a kit, got the ballast and ignitor (with wiring from it and caps) from a 2004 e46. Got a set of 5000k H1 rebased d2 bulb.
I soldered the bulbs into my Euro ellipsoid caps and soldered the connectors to the ingitor. The the normal power wires went to the ballast.
Looks almost stock, with the exception that you can see the ballast.
Huge difference is all I can say. Pure light is all there is, especially with the 5000k bulbs. I will never go back to normal halogen lights, unless forced to by an act of god.
I will have pics of it up tomorrow evening once I get to aim them and take pictures.

Highbeams being worthless should never be spoken in reference to a BMW. When my dad first bought his E34 and I took it out for a spin at night, I hit the highs and was blown away! The highbeams were no joke. But I feel ya, I got HIDs for my car before any other thing (because it was a freebie) and never felt the need for highs after that. but they still come in handy for windy backroads at high speeds, because they are aimed to cover further ground.

Here in china no one gives a fuck. traffic lights, people......everyone just uses theyre horn as habbit..even when no ones one the road. Lots of people just leave the highbeams on (low/highs) all day and night long.

I want to go back to the states already..this 4 week vacation is killing me....
