so is testors candy apple red 8) even up close i could not tell a difference between the two shades of red when i first applied it, and even now (about 1.5years after) it still looks damn goodOriginally posted by Eurospeed88The Testors Ruby Flake paint is just about a dead match for the red on E30 taillights. You shouldn't have any color problems, just don't use too much.Originally posted by MattM20i just painted the orange and it blended perfectly. here's a pic of how they looked about year after it was done...Originally posted by Purdue89E30When you just paint the corner how do you get the reds to match, wouldn't it be easy to make the painted area too light or dark? Does it glow the same color as the unpainted area when the light is on?

I couldn't find the Testors spray locally (tried a few craft and auto parts shops) so i ordered them online. Got one question...I have read 2 DIY articles now. One of them recommends a flat, the other a gloss. Which one of these do you think I should go with? I ordered both just in case, because they were only like $3 per can.
By the way, I expect I will have plenty of spray left over and would be happy to ship the remainder of my spray to someone else who is thinking of doing this project, for only the cost of shipping. Or give it to someone who is local (Seattle area).Comment

I'd be happy to pay for shipping. As long as you think the remaining amount would be enough to cover the turn signal lenses. ;)Originally posted by BhadoleI couldn't find the Testors spray locally (tried a few craft and auto parts shops) so i ordered them online. i believe shipping will be a hassle since its an aerosol can ure sending. and ure not a company. there are regualation for aerosols i think. I picked up my Testors"red metal flake" at Rite aide. in the toy department. i did not use clear. I dont want my tails to shine.
*reverse lights are white so you can see behind u when u reverse. and so people can see you reversing. if its red theyre gonna think youre stepping on you brakes. boom!FOKAI DA'MA'SHI'I ENSANE GRAPPING INT.Comment
