Side marker delete issue

I am trying to convert to euro bumper trim on my front bumper and am having issues with the wiring. I've done a lot of reading and everyone says just tape em up. I've tried taping them up and I've tried putting a jumper in the POS and neg of the side marker plug but my blinkers still blinks fast. I don't want to cut any wires or cut into my blinker housings.

Does anybody have any ideas what my problem is, should I put a resistor in the place of the bulb or check a relay?

Just take the bulb out and put some tape over it. Side markers are a different circuit from turn signals altogether. Are you trying to redo your front turn signals so they only function as turn signals and not parking lights as well? If that's the case then just clip the parking light wire and tape it off.
