rear fog light or lights

i hooked up a rear fog light in my 85 325e. i seen that there was places for them on both sides, i put it on the drivers side. i've seem them on other euro cars on the drivers side. just wondering why there is a cut out for one on the pass. side

Isnt that a big jdm trend, the rear fog lights in the back bumper. Sorry bro but it doesnt look like it belongs there, it just looks like you have a blown bulb on the passenger side. If you need light in the rear just pump your brakes or just leave your parking lights on. But then again its your car and you do what you want.

yep, that is done right. here in europe, there is alot of fog, and the cars are all equipt with a rear fog light, to help people coming up behind you at 200mph see you a bit better.

it does look like a blown bulb or stuck brake light. altho i dont drive with it on all the time. just in bad weather.

I got it on a rocker switch mounted below the light switches

the euro cars have 2 buttons where whe have one for the foglights... they also have 2 lights on the dash for it too

yeah rear fog lights were used in European countries for a long time for safety reasons.

how did you hook it up, run seperate wires? or are there factory wires to run from?

i ran a seperate wire to the fog light socket and used another contact and spring out of a spare light for the missing one in the fog light socket
