My euro ellipsoids just came in today (smiley's), and I've done a couple of searches but couldn't really find a write-up. Does anyone know where or there is one? If not, is it just a simple swap, or can anyone tell me what there is to do? And as for the city lights do i just wire them into the side markers?

Most write-ups describe how to convert from sealed beams to Euro ellipsoids.
Since you already have US ellipsoids, all you have to do is cut off your existing connectors and solder/crimp on the connectors for the smileys. Done. No need to do any real wiring.

really old thread, but is it really that easy??? the car i have now originally had ellipsoids but the person who previoulsy had it broke them and replaced with these. will i run into many problems??Comment
