    Painted Taillight fix

I painted just the amber portion of my tailights about a year and a half ago and now they look crapy due to that portion being really dull and flat red. I used Testors Ruby red, sprayed a couple light coats and no clear of any type.

I think I want to strip it back to stock and start over with Testors Candy red and then some gloss clear coat.

What should I use to strip back to amber?, I don't want to use anything too harsh and f*ckup the plastic.

acetone eats plastic...don't let it sit to long....i had newspaper melted into my tailight plastic when i spilled it onto the masking....and i had to get this shit off half an hour before school started....so i drove to school with newspaper on my tailights....polyurethane clearcoat ftw.

Same here. Might be a good time to update to newer tails?
