    Xenon's

I posted up a feeler GB for Kaixen HID kits a while ago and I just wanted to see what everyone thought again. The Kaixen Kits are deff very good quality. They are up there with oem. But they aren't as cheap as the $150 HID kits on ebay.

Another company I have been looking at is Pilot. Their kits are cost less than the Kaixen kits. I have heard some good things about the Pilot kits but I'm not exactly sure how they compare to the other brands. I haven't heard anything bad about them though.

I just wanted to see about how many people would be interested and which kit more people would like before I get into it too much. I have already contacted Kaixen about this and I will need at least 10 people in on the GB to make it happen.

I'm 100% in. Do you get a choice in lighting? Any recommendations? 4500, 6000? I want whatever provides best vision without completely blinding on-coming traffic.

btw, your sig freaks me the fuck out.

Ive been contemplating finnally upgrading my headlights from shitty sealed beams. Approx prices on each other than more that 150 is needed though to give an answer.

well I haven't talked to any of the suppliers yet b/c I wanted to see what the intrest was right now. Apparently there isn't much at all, deff not enough for a GB. The Pilot kits are $190 and the Kaixen are $320 retail, so it would be less than that. You can look at the links that I provided in the first post ;)

I don't plan on doing this unless there are at least 10 people interested.

xenondepot.com FTW - ~$300 for a kit, all quality parts, Steve (owner) is quite a nice guy and their support / instructions / fitment is great... I've bought quite a few kits from him for various cars (everything from an RSX to my 350z's highbeams to my neighbor's Subaru Legacy etc) and everything has been plug-and-play

PS - the kits on the site you listed START at 6k, that's waaaay too high, 4300 is where it's at unless you want showy purple crap that doesn't light much / any better than 100W halogen lamps.

ah gotcha, I was looking at the other kit(s). FWIW I feel things like headlights are more than a tad important, and spending a few bucks more to get a highly recognized well supported brand / kit from a good company was worth it for the piece of mind and ease of install, but YMMV re the Pilots vs something a bit more pricey. GL setting up a group buy, you might want to talk w/ Steve @ Xenon Depot - I worked with him on the ClubRSX GB back in 02 and we got a great deal on kits then (in fact if you look at his galleries there's several pictures of my blue RSX, one on a roof top downtown, hot stuff lol)

cool, if we do a GB its not nailed down to these two, I just thought they are good examples. The Kaixen are top notch though.

i picked up a set of Kaixen for my brothers supra, the hi-lo version in 4300k, i paid around 400can last xmas. got them about 2 and a half months later due to shipping errors and such. These lights have been nothing but trouble, the relays constantly blow and have to be replaced. Also the passenger side is a bit off color compared to the drivers. overall paid way too much for these. Very disatisfied

nando has them IIRC and he loves them. I've never heard anything but awsome reviews for them. Stinks that your didn't work right. I've always heard that you should either do a retrofit w/ stock parts or us Kaixen's. But its up to the majority to what we will get ;)
