Engine Bay Headlight Covers

I just purchased a 1988 M3. The area behind the headlights in the engine bay is open meaning I can see the rear of the lamps. It looks to me like there should be a cover for each of the lamps. Can anyone confirm this and suggest where I might buy the covers if covers do exist?

There definitely should be covers.
